BRONZE A basic level covering 'linear' navigation Appropriate for rural and forested countryside.

SILVER An intermediate 'simplification' skills level. Suitable for open and remote country such as Downs, Chilterns, or moors.

GOLD An advanced 'contour and micro' navigation level. A standard for wild and mountain areas.
