Safari's, river expeditions, learning new cultures - where will you be this summer?

The Dragon Explorer Scouts from Hornchurch are spending their summer camp in Basse Sarta Su, a small village in the Gambia that it very proud of it's generator that runs for 2 hours every day. The unit are going to be sharing their skills, teaching English at the local primary school, and building a sun shelter in the playground which will be an ongoing legacy of their visit. They plan to spend time with local families and support the local Scout Group which has its own Scout Band. They have lots and lots planned including a safari and learning local customs and culture.

We all look forward to seeing photographs of their dancing and drumming.
