26 Cub Scouts took part in the County Chess Competition held at Leyton. All but two Districts took part in a very closely contested competition. From the start six Cubs were pushing each other to their limits. By the end of the afternoon the two finalists were head to head and eventually Ben Gordon (only eight years old) of Chingford won through . Joseph Crotty of Ilford East came second and in joint third place were Philip Walsh (EFS) and Massimo Monks (East London).

Congratulations to all I hope to see ALL districts taking part next year.
