Jack Petchey
Awards 2005
20th October 2005 saw an invasion of the Sir James Hawkey Hall, Woodford green. Some 117 Scouts, Explorer Scouts, Network Scouts and 15 Scout Leaders, from our twelve Districts, each with two guests filled the hall to capacity.
Presenters for the evening were the Deputy Lieutenants for Hackney, Redbridge, Waltham Forest, Havering, the Scout Chief Commissioner for South East England, our own County Commissioner and the Awards Officer from the Jack Petchey Foundation.
Unfortunately, Jack Petchey himself was unwell and very disappointed at having to miss this years Presentation.
The evening got underway with an excellent buffet organised by Walthamstow District. The Achievers, both young people and Leaders, received their Medallions with pride. The evening closed with a short excerpt from the forthcoming Gang Show Showstoppers 2005. A grand evening, enjoyed by all.
