I am pleased to publish the results of the above competition.

This was a well attended event with a good spirit going through the day despite the changing weather pattern of sun, rain wind and hail.

I congratulate all who took part but especially the winners 2nd Elm Park A, the Runners Up 4th Ilford North and 11th Newham West B for taking third place.

Football isn’t really ‘my thing’ but I did enjoy seeing the youngsters taking part. I want to make a special mention of the Leaders who volunteered to referee. Thanks Joe Middleweek, Cliff Everett, Rob Tillett and Ben Moore. I really appreciate the marvellous job you did.

I also thank Robin Briggs who sorted out what Team was playing who. You should always realise your ‘weak ness’s’ and the job of organising a league is one of mine. He did a great job and made it look easy.. thanks Robin.

Also included on the sheet is the Explorer Scout results; it was good to see them take part and I thank them for entering and thank commend their sporting behaviour.

Congratulations to all those who took part in true scouting sprit. A huge thank you to Rob Rose who has worked extremely hard to make this event happen.
