DESCRIPTION:This course gives you the essential first aid skills needed for volunteering with Scouts. It focuses on practical responses to the situations you are most likely to face in Scouting activities. \nYou will learn how to: \n\nAssess and manage an incident\nDeal with an unresponsive person (including CPR and use of AEDs)\nRecognise and treat common medical emergencies (e.g. asthma\, anaphylaxis\, seizures\, diabetes\, heart attack\, stroke)\nManage bleeding\, burns\, fractures\, and environmental injuries\nProvide care until professional help arrives\n\nWho it’s for \n\nAll adults in Scouting who require a First Response certificate for their role\n\nCertificate \n\nValid for 3 years. Refresher training required to remain up to date.\n\n\n\nFirst Response 10b (10a part 2 and 10b Practical)\nA 3hr session to cover 10a part 2 zoom and practical 10b.(module 10b+)\n\nIn order to attend this event\, please ensure you have completed the online learning for part 10a.
