Media Team Member – Greater London North East Scouts
Greater London North East Scouts (GLNE Scouts) is looking for a Media Team Member to help share the story of local Scouting. Your role will focus on creating and managing content that shows the impact of Scouting across the County.
You will help show what young people and volunteers achieve every week across GLNE Scouts.
What you’ll do
- Capture photos and video from events and activities
- Write short news updates and posts for social media
- Support the GLNE Scouts website with fresh content
- Help plan simple campaigns to promote key events
- Work with volunteers to collect stories from local groups
- Maintain a shared media library of images and video
- Share updates and media content through Basecamp, our internal communications platform.
What we’re looking for
You do not need to be a professional media creator. Interest and reliability matter more.
You should ideally:
- Enjoy photography, video, or digital content
- Use social media confidently
- Write clear short updates
- Be comfortable using simple digital tools
- Work well with volunteers
- Be organised and able to meet simple deadlines
Time commitment
- Flexible volunteer role
- Occasional support at GLNE Scouts events
