Recently, Imogen from Romford Scout Network went to Kandersteg International Scout Centre for a week as part of the UK Workers Party to help get the centre ready for the busy summer season.
“I am very grateful for being selected to attend and a massive thanks to the organisers of the UKWP for making it an amazing week full of adventure and joy. Kandersteg will always have a special place in my heart as it’s just such an amazing place to be.
From cleaning toilets and preparing lodges to clearing trees on the campsite and fixing benches there is always something to do to feel helpful during the work party week. Everyone at the centre is the embodiment of scouting and my scout family grew a whole lot during my trip. I hope to be back very soon”
