Safeguarding
Families trust us with the wellbeing of their children for 1-2 hours every week. We repay that trust by making sure that everyone involved in delivering the programme has an up-to-date knowledge of how we do that safely and securely.

What is ongoing learning?
Safety & safeguarding training need to be completed during your induction period.
(preferably before attending your first meeting)The knowledge from this course is valid for 3 years after which you must take the current version of the training.
This can be done online at scouts.org.uk as a 45 min eLearning module.
How do I sign it off?
After watching / reading all of the content you'll be able to take a quiz at the end to produce a certificate. Send this (or a photo of it) to one of the following:
Your Group's Lead Volunteer or the 14-25 lead for District based Explorer teams
Your Training Advisor
Can I use my work qualifications?
Sadly no.
Your work training will cover what-if processes for where you work, and won't mention anything about the Yellow Card or Scouting policies.
